1997 Peugeot 106 GTI – £16,500

For sale is our 1997 Peugeot 106 GTI finished in its original factory White paint, showing just 29,500 miles from new. This cherished example has been kept in outstanding, unrestored condition and presents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest surviving examples of Peugeot’s iconic 90s hot hatch. Supplied with its original handbook and a bill of sale at 4000 miles from renowned specialists 4 Star Classics (who sold the car in 2012), it also boasts extensive service history and MOT receipts—including documentation dating back to before 2006 to verify its remarkably low mileage. The original interior is like new and in fantastic condition. The current owner has cared for the car since 2015, and it was kept in dry storage from 2019 until recently, when it underwent Mechanical recommissioning and was issued a fresh MOT. The Cambelt and supporting belts have all been replaced alongside a Major service, Front Discs and Pads and a full machine polish.

Mechanically, the car features Peugeot’s legendary 1.6-litre 16-valve engine, producing 118 BHP, paired with a manual gearbox and weighing in at just under a tonne—delivering a raw, engaging driving experience that earned the 106 GTI its reputation as one of the best-handling hot hatches of the era. With its free-revving engine, compact proportions, and brilliant chassis balance, the 106 GTI remains a firm favourite among enthusiasts and collectors alike. Increasingly hard to find in unmodified, original condition, this example stands out for its authenticity, low mileage, and complete provenance.

The paintwork has been deliberately preserved in its original state—highlighting the genuine, unrestored character of this car. It’s a rare find that would suit a collector looking for originality, or a driving enthusiast seeking a true analogue driving experience. Serious enquiries are welcome. Additional photos and walkaround videos are available on request.
