This van life as a Swiss fire service minibus to carry firemen.
Found as a barn find in Switzerland by the previous owner and converted to a day van/camper. Unlike the English climate, leaving a car in a dry barn over there often preserves them!
In 1968, the van would have been originally supplied as a grey windowed van to the Swiss fire service, this was then quickly and crudely painted red ready for service. Much of the paintwork is still that exact red paint that was slapped on in 1968.

The van passed it’s UK MOT in February and UK registered. Serviced in March combined with a full refurbishment of the wheels – sandblasted and re-sprayed in silver.
I have gone to the trouble of having the  cushions freshly made and included a retro paraffin stove so the van has all the basic requirements to be registered as a camper if you so wish.
It comes with the Ford service booklet, stamped history and a UK MOT and V5.
A very unmolested van that is less than half the price of a VW of the same era.
